Moving to warwick: 1 Billion dollars in profits so far.
by StephaneLaliberte inat one point, the witnesses held 4.5 million square feet over 30 buildings.
they’re down to nine buildings, having made about $1.25 billion on staggered sales since 2004, according to the co.. http://therealdeal.com/2016/09/22/the-secret-to-jehovahs-witnesses-real-estate-success-maintenance-and-patience/.
warwick is 1.6 million square-foot.

It is more likely that 9/11 is a prime motivator followed closely by lawsuit judgements and settlements. 9/11 spooked them. They were too close to ground zero in a terrorist attack. I am sure they thought that the attack on the twin towers was from Satan and actually meant for them! I have no doubt. To thwart Satan, Jehoobie directed them to cash out and move. -

Oh the irony! The elder, a car accident, and me....
by stuckinarut2 inoh this is just worth sharing!.
so , as many know, it has been two years since i have attended any meetings, conventions, etc....nothing...cold turkey.. the hassles and problems the elders threw our way were monumental....so many details i could share, but suffice it to say, we stood firm and kept our dignity and poise and reminded them of "appropriate boundaries ".
one elder in particular has since spared no effort in ensuring that malicious gossip and slander has been spread so that witnesses have avoided us like the plague!.

Of course they will appreciate the act of kindness you showed. It will reinforce their thinking that there is some "hope" left for you to return. Somewhere inside of you is that "witness" goodness. No recognition of you being that way despite leaving "The Truth". These poor slobs have very little emotional or intellectual growth with all that "spiritual maturity" running around their brains. Good for you that you still are a good person. Why wouldn't you be?

To all former Elders – what are your thoughts
by Tallon inif you were part of a judicial committee, and knowing what you know now, what was it like for you to sit on jc’s?
how did you feel if someone was reproved or df’d?
were you ever on a jc and you disagreed with someone being reproved or df’d and were overruled – how did you feel?

I had experienced the humiliation of a JC as a defendant long before I became what you all call a "Judge". I never thought of myself as a judge. I sincerely met with people to help them. The only people we disfellowshiped during a committee were folks who were convinced they wanted to continue doing what they were doing, drugs, drunkenness to the point of hurting and putting others in physical danger or the like. Even at that I only ever DF'd 2 people. One was a drunk who beat his wife and I discovered had been "reproved" at least 10 times in six years for it by his elder father and pals on the elder body. And a 30 year old meth addict who refused to get help repeatedly. I tried to get him in rehab on three occasions and he was kicked out once and lied about going two other times. He was a danger to himself and others. He was arrested for a DUI on drugs not booze. So, no guilt. Many, many private reproofs and efforts to get people help. I was a newer elder who came in trying to be Jesus instead of Paul. It lead to my departure when I found I was surrounded by Pilates and Judas'.

September 17th 19...
by LogansRun inone decision one day one event , today is the anniversary of the plunge that ruined my life .i was young and now i'm old and feel screwed over - ok my personal pity party is over if you made it this far thank you for just being out there.. now my fading update, no meetings for 3 weeks they don't know yet i'm not coming back but thanks to this site and many helpful youtube stories i have some tools to know how to play this game.
because this is a fade i have not been able to tell my story but it really is unique ,i can say at this time there is no wife or kids involved but i do have siblings in this and my oldest brother is a super strict witness to the point of being a bully but thankfully most of my extended family are not j-dubs and that's what's going to help me get through this along with all of you .
have a great day folks !.

Update: Got my Judicial Committee cancelled
by Sanchy inoriginal thread here.
update: so, after the meeting i had with elders a few weeks ago as outlined in my original thread, they met as a body and once again called to tell me that after considering my case they still thought a judicial committee should be held against me and asked to be there "thursday at 7:30".
all of this, i remind you, because of posting coc on facebook.

The admonishment info in the flock book is available in WT's. Its not a secret. A little research in the WT library would have found the principals its based on. Turning the rules back at them is always brilliant, congrats Sanchy.

Are JWs the most gossiping people on earth?
by Londo111 inwe all gossip.
it is only human.
watchtower actually tries to instruct adherents not to gossip and it can land a jw in front of a judicial committee—some do try to follow this admonition.

Does it not dawn on the cart witnesses?
by jambon1 ini sat in town recently, right in the window of a nice wee pub.
within minutes i realised that i had a perfect view of a jw cart and the two ridiculously dressed jw's (they have absolutely no individuality at all.
what's more, they all look like they're going to a funeral).

They're just silly people.

Saw a brother and two sisters sitting behind a table with the cart in front. Not one person was greeted with eye contact or a "hello". I refused to even acknowledge them. What a waste of skin.

SONNET 121
'Tis better to be vile, than vile esteemed,
When not to be, receives reproach of being,
And the just pleasure lost which is so deemed
Not by our feeling, but by others' seeing:
For why should others' false adulterate eyes
Give salutation to my sportive blood?
Or on my frailties why are frailer spies,
Which in their wills count bad what I think good?
No; -- I am that I am, and they that level
At my abuses reckon up their own:
I may be straight, though they themselves be bevel;
By their rank thoughts my deeds must not be shown;
Unless this general evil they maintain,
All men are bad, and in their badness reign.Modern version below video.
It’s better to be vile than to have people think you’re vile, especially when they accuse you of being vile and you’re really not, and then you don’t even get to enjoy doing the thing that people say is vile but that you don’t think is. For why should people who are corrupt themselves get to wink knowingly at my lustful inclinations? And why should people who are even weaker than I pry into my weaknesses, deciding that what I think is good is bad? No, I am what I am, and the people who accuse me are only revealing their own corruptions. Maybe I’m straight, and they’re the ones who are crooked; you can’t measure my actions by their foul thoughts, unless they’re willing to believe that all men are bad and thrive in their badness.
